Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available The role We are privileged to be responsible for sustaining the SSE Renewables business and we are recruiting a key position in the Hydro Assets - Programmes M&E Delivery Campaigns team to drive forward this objective through the diligent development and delivery of Hydro Power station key asset refurbishment or replacement. This is an exceptional and unique opportunity to contribute to the future success of the Hydro business in a rewarding environment. As a member of Campaigns, operating as part of a wider team, you will take on a role as a discipline technical engineer & project manager responsible for the delivery of the projects assigned to you. These will range across a variety of disciplines including Mechanical, Electrical, and Control and Instrumentation. You will Manage contracts for Hydro Projects, including planning, organising and executing the delivery of design, services and works contracts, ensuring completion in line with quality, budget and schedule targets. Work with contractors and SSER Stakeholders to develop, Review, and refine initial concepts leading to a deliverable, value adding integrated system, taking into account legislative requirements and lessons learned. Support safe & efficient on site delivery of packages of work you have developed with contractors & support wider team delivery as required. Optimizing designs through risk assessment to ensure operator safety and minimise interventions impacting plant availability maximising value in delivery & future operation. Assisting in the development and delivery of budgets, financial management control and reporting of works. You have To be considered for this role, we would love you to have: A degree level qualification in a Mechanical, Electrical or Control & Instrumentation discipline, or alternatively to HNC level with demonstrable experience in large industrial projects environments. Experienced in the Hydro, or more broadly, the power industry operational environment Open, clear communication skills with an ability to clearly describe risks and issues at all levels Knowledge of Safe systems of work in this type of environment is a benefit.
