ROLE SUMMARY,

Our external commercial environment continues to change significantly and rapidly, centralizing NHS and Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) decision making and placing significant emphasis on meeting clinical challenges, maximizing supply resilience, delivering environmental sustainability, and maximizing the commercial effectiveness of the NHS and DHSC.

These significant advances in the NHS/DHSC’s commercial effectiveness and the introduction of tangible environmental sustainability efforts are being enacted through various forms of commercial agreements such as tenders, contracts, Patient Access Schemes (PASs), and outcomes-based agreements (OBAs).

In order to ensure our One Pfizer business maximises this opportunity to deliver optimal contracting capability and executional excellence in this evolving commercial environment, we are recruiting for a critical Commercial Contracts Senior Manager position, reporting to the UK Commercial Tenders & Contracts Director.

The Commercial Contracts Senior Manager will perform a significant and strategic internal and external tendering, contracting and executional excellence role, to influence externally with senior national-level commercial and contracting customers and stakeholders, and to collaborate internally with strategic commercial colleagues across all functions, to contribute significantly to the development of successful commercial and marketing strategies for Pfizer UK.

The Commercial Contracts Senior Manager will collaborate with internal colleagues such as the Commercial Tenders & Contracts Director, to build external customer partnerships aligned with contracting and supply resilience-related engagement with key DHSC and NHSE stakeholders, designed to ensure Pfizer’s contracting and supply resilience strategies are highly valuable and as effective as possible which in turn will contribute significantly to patient access to Pfizer medicines.

The role will also lead specific projects within the Commercial Excellence & Operations directorate, requiring collaboration with all teams and the CE&O LT.

The role will require successful collaboration with our Global Tender & Contract colleagues to maximise the digital resources of GTCS (Global Tender & Contract System) and the significant AI benefits of GTCS Prometheus.

This role requires a strategic, independent thinker, matrix leader who can be a critical part of Pfizer UK’s evolution to Contracting and Executional Excellence, enabling the delivery of this key capability for One Pfizer via the Commercial Excellence & Operations platform.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate cross-functionally and strategically with all functions to continually develop innovative tender and contract solutions that will ensure the future commercial effectiveness of our BU portfolios and Pfizer UK’s overall performance.

SME and Business Partner/Point of Contact for TA Colleagues, incorporating:

1. Tenders
2. Innovative Contracts

CCT Operational Activities Leadership (requiring a good degree of data/excel analytical skills), incorporating:

3. Complex Rebates oversight
4. Quarterly Contract Reviews in partnership with Finance
5. Completion of the Annual UKHCDO Haemophilia Tender Report
6. Pfizer Lead for DHSC DASH portal
7. Pfizer sustainability credentials in partnership with CSR colleagues

Project Leadership & Executional Excellence Lead (requiring a good degree of process automation/AI and analytical capability), specifically:

8. GTCS OP Revenue Submissions
9. Pricing Governance in partnership with A&A colleagues
10. NHS Private Wings implementation
11. Retail Net Pricing
12. Global GTCS T&C Enhancement
13. CCT Digital Transformation (tendertool, rebates, price error detection and others tbc)
14. CCT activities streamlining - lead CCT resourcing resilience, working with the Commercial Tenders & Contracts Director to continually review CCT roles and tasks to maximise efficiencies and effectiveness, optimise balance of workload and accurately align functions and tasks within CCT and/or with other teams within CE&O or the GSC, TA’s.
