Want to join a team that is fully integrated into the Community Teams in East Staffordshire in line with the ICB agenda? We are co-located with all of our admin, therapy and nursing colleagues all in one place in Burton-on-Trent.

Do you want to work for a team that has 100% supervision recording and works seamlessly with Rapid Response, Community Neuro Teams and D2A services, and has well‑established links with the acute sector and primary care?

Want to work with D2A pathway 2 beds in an Intermediate Care setting, contribute to a P1 rota to reduce hospital admissions, and see patients for rehab at home following hospital discharge?

Main duties of the job

We are looking to fill a part‑time band 6 role working across Rapid Response, Community Rehab and D2A Pathway 2 Rehab beds as part of the Community Therapies Service in East Staffordshire. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of an expanding and developing service, great for building leadership skills and providing support and supervision to band 5 OT's, assistant practitioners, rehab assistants and students as required.

This post is agile working in the local community, in patient homes and Care Homes and the ability to travel independently across East Staffs is essential.

Person Specification


Experience

* Relevant NHS experience to the role including assessment and management of various conditions within the area of clinical speciality
* Ability to manage time and caseload effectively
* Supporting service users, families and carers in dealing with issues within the area of clinical speciality
* Working in a multidisciplinary team
* Experience of negotiation and conflict management in clinical situations


Qualifications

* Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
* Registration with HCPC
* Commitment for self‑directed learning / development
* Modules at Masters level
* Evidence of further clinical study


Skills

* Evidence of specialist clinical knowledge relevant to the post.
* Awareness of relevant NHSE / DOH and NICE guidance.
* Understanding of wider NHS agenda and its application to the local context.
