Payroll Administrator

Location: Larbert, Scotland
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: 37.5 per week (Monday to Friday)
Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience

The Opportunity

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Payroll Administrator to join our dynamic payroll team. In this role, you will be instrumental in processing both monthly and weekly payrolls, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities

* Execute end-to-end payroll processing, including BACS payments, for both new and existing employees, circa 3000.
* Manage payroll changes such as new starters, leavers, salary adjustments, and variable payments.
* Address and resolve payroll-related queries from employees, managers, HR, and other departments.
* Process manual payments when necessary.
* Administer pension contributions and ensure compliance with auto-enrolment requirements.
* Handle statutory payments, including SSP and parental leave.
* Process HMRC updates, such as tax code changes and student loan deductions.
* Manage third-party deductions, including earnings arrestments, DEAs, and court orders.
* Prepare and distribute payroll reports to relevant stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with National Minimum Wage regulations.
* Participate in monthly HR/Payroll review meetings.

Qualifications and Experience

* Previous experience in a payroll administration role.
* Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills (including VLOOKUPs).
* Experience with manual tax calculations and P11D benefits.
* Ability to meet tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
* Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
* Experience with Zellis ResourceLink is advantageous.
