Overview
EHS Coordinator Barnsley and Knottingley Plants (2 roles). The successful candidates will ensure continued compliance with all EHS legislation, waste management, and day-to-day environmental management at designated site level. Assist in EHS audits, training requirements, procedures and documentation.
Responsibilities
* Environment, Health and Safety risk management, including, but not limited to, fire, business, operational loss, security and site safety
* Support the EHS Manager AGP – UK in legal and compliance matters. Support plant EHS/H&S manager in implementing and maintaining EHS and risk policies and procedures
* Management of site environmental legal compliance and systems including but not limited to PPC, UK-ETS, E-PRTR, ISO 14001
* Risk identification and mitigation
* Monitor compliance with environmental regulations (waste, emissions, etc.)
* Timely and accurate completion of EHS reports and documentation
* Complete internal EHS standards audits and action plans for identified improvements
* Liaise with departmental teams to assist with EHS improvements in their areas
* Participate in technical audits of the alternate Ardagh facilities to support problem resolution, continuous improvement and best practice
Required skills / qualifications
* Experience of Environment and/or Health & Safety work, preferably in manufacturing industry
* IEMA Qualification (desirable)
* NEBOSH Certificate (Desirable)
* Working knowledge of glass plant production process (desirable)
* Ability to adapt to changes in EHS and Risk both by the business and legislatively, understand the company needs and efficiently deliver
