Marc Daniels Specialist Recruitment are partnering with an award-winning organisation to recruit a Financial Accountant into their Financial Reporting team. In this role, you will play a key role in delivering timely and accurate financial and management reporting, supporting both internal stakeholders and external reporting requirements.
Key responsibilities
Support delivery of technical accounting areas, including revenue recognition under IFRS 15 and lease accounting under IFRS 16
Produce timely and accurate management accounts, statutory financial statements and variance analysis.
Act as a key contact during the half-year and year-end audits, ensuring audit readiness and smooth delivery.
Take ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and key financial controls for designated areas.
Lead and support ad‑hoc and project-based work to enhance reporting quality and control.
Prepare insightful reports, analysis and commentary for senior management.
Keep up to date with audit, regulatory and industry developments and apply them in practice. About you
Qualified, part-qualified or qualified‑by‑experience accountant
Strong technical accounting and analytical skills, with the ability to clearly document and communicate complex topics.
Proactive, confident and professional, with a genuine drive to progress and succeed.
Demonstrable problem‑solving ability and a continuous improvement mindset.
Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets; experience with Oracle NetSuite or similar ERP is advantageous but not essential.
