Position: Religious Education (RE) Teacher
Location: M28
Start Date: Immediate
Pay: £160–£210 per day
Age Group: KS3/KS4
Contract: Full-Time
About the Role:
* As an RE Teacher, you will plan and deliver curriculum-aligned lessons in Religious Education.
* You will encourage students to explore world religions, ethical dilemmas, and philosophical ideas.
* You’ll support students who need extra help in understanding key concepts and developing critical thinking skills.
* Provide feedback to students and parents through meetings and reports.
* Contribute to the wider school community through staff meetings, enrichment activities, and CPD.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver inclusive, high-quality lessons in RE for KS3 and KS4.
* Offer targeted support through one-to-one and small group sessions.
* Assess and monitor progress, using data to inform planning and intervention.
* Create a classroom environment that promotes mutual respect, curiosity, and open dialogue.
* Collaborate with colleagues in curriculum planning and pastoral care.
What Makes You a Great Fit for This Role:
* QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or a relevant degree in Religious Education or a related field.
* Strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching RE.
* Classroom or tutoring experience is desirable.
* A positive, reflective attitude and commitment to student progress.
* An enhanced DBS check (can be processed through Smile Education).
