Job Description

ROLE OVERVIEW

1. Job Title: HR Advisor
2. Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
3. Location: Ellesmere Port, Cheshire (office based - 1 day per week from home)
4. Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
5. Salary: Up to £33,000 (depending on experience), including benefits
6. Industry: HR

The HR Advisor will prepare, process and check high volumes of HR / payroll information on a monthly basis so will need to be a strong administrator with organisational skills gained within a fast-paced environment. In addition, as a HR Advisor you will play an important role in supporting multiple business lines across a number of sites, working closely with managers to ensure consistently fair and pragmatic people management practices are achieved.

Responsibilities:

7. Payroll and HRIS administration, including the processing of starters, leavers and contract changes
8. Provide HR guidance to management, via phone, email or in person
9. Implement effective HR policies and procedures
10. Support employee relations such as performance management and disciplinary cases, grievances and sickness absence with input from the occupational health provider
11. Investigate routine employee relations issues such as discipline, capability and grievance cases and participate in resulting hearings or meetings as appropriate with support from HR Business Partner for complex cases

Qualifications

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate will be a strong and exceptionally well organised Administrator and have proven experience as an HR Advisor and preferably hold or be working towards a CIPD (Level 3) or equivalent.

You will have notable experience participating and advising in employee relations and case work, such as probationary reviews, capability, disciplinary hearings and absence management. In addition, you will be able to demonstrate the following:

12. Proven experience in a high-volume administrative capacity, possessing strong attention to detail and organisational skills
13. Ability to support across multi-sites and multi-disciplines, as well as providing evidence of dealing with high volume in a fast-paced environment
14. Proficiency in HR software and systems
15. Knowledge of employment laws and regulations
16. Strong understanding of employee relations and case management
17. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
18. Hold a valid Driving License for use in the UK (ad hoc travel to national sites is required)
