An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Research and Enterprise Office for a Research Grants Finance Manager to joint lead the Post-Award team and be responsible for the financial administration of the portfolio of research grants and contracts held by the University.
Duties of the Role
The post holder will have responsibility for all stages of research award management from the inception through to the completion and closure of the project, ensuring compliance with both the University’s financial procedures and the funders’ terms and conditions throughout.
Skills and qualifications required
The person appointed will have proven experience of financial accounting, budgeting and forecasting; an understanding of external funders’ research management requirements; experience and knowledge of research funding administration procedures; demonstrable experience of leading and motivating a team; and excellent IT skills. The role will require the ability to prioritise a complex workload whilst meeting demanding deadlines and maintaining a high degree level of accuracy.
