As a Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for: Lead Generation & Prospecting:
Identify and target new business opportunities within the education sector, including MATs, academies, local authorities, and colleges. Client Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients, understanding their needs and presenting solutions. Bid Management:
Lead the end-to-end bid process, including proposal development, pricing strategy, presentations, and contract negotiation. Market Intelligence:
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and sector developments to inform strategy and positioning. Collaboration:
Work closely with operations, marketing, finance, and culinary teams to develop innovative and commercially viable service offerings. Sales Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of pipeline activity, forecasts, and performance metrics using CRM. Qualifications include a proven track record in business development or sales within the education or contract catering sector, strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, excellent communication and presentation abilities, the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, knowledge of public sector procurement and tendering processes, and a passion for delivering high-quality food and service solutions.
