Frazer-Nash provides Airworthiness and Technical Support services to the UK Military Air Environment (MAE). We support defence clients by providing systems engineering and technical services across the aerospace domain to ensure airworthy, safe, and sustainable military capabilities. Our team supports initial certification, type airworthiness, continuing airworthiness, and technical project delivery in aerospace, including fixed-wing, rotary-wing, and unmanned air systems.
Role Description
This role is suitable for an engineer with experience in project teams, delivery teams, or front-line delivery of aerospace platforms or equipment. It offers opportunities to lead technical delivery on defence aerospace projects, develop a portfolio of project deliveries, enhance consultancy skills, and mentor junior engineers and graduates. There may also be opportunities to gain civil aerospace experience outside of defence.
Essential Requirements
* Background in aerospace engineering with practical knowledge of initial or continuing airworthiness
* Experience in directing engineering teams, either as a Senior NCO, junior engineering officer, or civilian equivalent
* Working towards Chartered Engineer (C Eng) status
* Experience in Systems Engineering within aerospace, including certification, requirements management, safety and assurance, testing, and acceptance
* Understanding of air safety aspects across the air systems life cycle
Desirable Requirements
* Degree in a relevant engineering discipline
* Previous or current experience as an engineering consultant or civil defence contractor
Candidates will need to undergo pre-employment screening and meet UK National Security Vetting clearance criteria.
