Engineering Operations Manager
to join their growing team.
This is a pivotal role where you'll work at the crossroads of engineering, finance, HR, and project management. You'll make sure resources are used smartly, costs are under control, and engineering teams are set up to deliver high-quality results.
The role
* Own resource and capacity planning, making sure the right people are on the right projects at the right time.
* Keep a close eye on budgets, contractor usage, and people costs – helping shape hiring and workforce decisions.
* Track engineering performance, from productivity metrics to code quality, and spot opportunities to improve.
* Build and maintain clear reports and dashboards to give leadership full visibility of spend, resourcing, and delivery.
* Be a trusted partner to engineering leadership, aligning priorities across the wider business.
What we're looking for
* Solid experience in engineering operations, resource management, or technical programme management.
* Strong grasp of software delivery practices (Agile, Scrum, or similar).
* Financially astute with experience managing budgets and workforce planning.
* Confident using project/resource management tools (Jira, Smartsheet, MS Project etc.).
* Comfortable influencing and partnering with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Analytical, data-driven, and commercially minded.
Nice to have
* Experience working directly with engineering or software teams.
* Knowledge of DORA metrics or similar productivity frameworks.
* A background in scaling operations functions within technical organisations.
