About The Role
Were excited to have an opportunity in our Finance team for a Finance Associate, performing a broad range of tasks supporting multiple Finance teams. Youll work closely with our Cost, Accounting and Accounts Payable teams, supporting month end close and reconciliations processes. Youll get exposure to a variety of business areas as well as internal accounting processes and our financial reporting system. We're looking for a dynamic self-motivated individual, with experience of working within Finance teams, who wants to broaden their skill set whilst working in a supportive and collaborative environment.
What you'll do
* Support accounting month end process, preparing journal entries and variance analysis
* Perform the monthly reconciliation process, preparing balance sheet reconciliations and supporting review and certification
* Work closely with Cost business partners to prepare journal entries, financial reporting and support month end close
* Support our Accounts Payable and Expenses team with regular tasks which are vital to our internal controls
What were looking for
* Quickly get up to speed with multiple finance systems including TSYS and PeopleSoft
* Ability to work on your own initiative at a fast pace and manage own time across multiple tasks
* Proven ability to build strong relationships within team, wider department and offshore teams
* A team player who can work independently as well as collaboratively across multiple teams
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* Experience of journal preparation and balance sheet reconciliations process
Where and how you'll work
This is a 12 months fixed term position and can be based in our Nottingham offices. Whilst it's not guaranteed, there's potential to explore a permanent role at the end of the contract
We have a hybrid working model which gives you flexibility to work from our offices and from home.
Were big on collaboration and connection, so youll be based in our Nottingham office 3 days a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
