Are you passionate about animal science and education? We're looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable individual to join our team as a Lecturer in Animal Management.
In this role, you'll be actively shaping the future of learners by delivering engaging and effective teaching across a range of animal management subjects. You'll be responsible for guiding students through their academic journey, assessing their progress, and supporting their development both in and out of the classroom. You'll also contribute to curriculum development, quality assurance processes, and college marketing activities.
You might already be:
* Teaching BTEC Level 3 or similar vocational programmes in Animal Management, Animal Science, or related subjects.
* Working in the animal sector – perhaps as a zoo keeper, veterinary nurse, behaviourist, farm manager, or in welfare/charity organisations – and ready to bring that experience into the classroom.
* Delivering training in industry, apprenticeships, or private education settings and keen to move into FE.
Wherever you are now, if you're committed to engaging learners and helping them achieve, this role offers the chance to deliver high-quality teaching, support students as a group tutor, and develop strong employer links to enrich the curriculum.
The ideal candidate will hold a relevant degree in Animal Management, Animal Science, Zoology, Biology, Veterinary Nursing, Agriculture, or a closely related field. You'll have at least one year of teaching or training experience, along with industry experience and a strong understanding of course administration and safeguarding practices. A teaching qualification and assessor's qualification are desirable, but not essential.
