X1 - Maintenance Technician.
TXM Recruit are looking for a Maintenance Technician working for one of our rail clients based in North East Londonon a contract basis (Role is Inside IR35). The successful person will be responsible to undertake corrective and preventative maintenance, servicing and repair of rolling stock assets.
Main Responsibilities
1. Perform Scheduled Maintenance activities on rolling stock within the TMC in accordance with the vehicle maintenance instructions
2. Undertake servicing and preparation of rolling stock.
3. Actively participate in the ongoing continuous improvement activities for maintenance processes and maintenance procedures that support all depot and fleet activities
4. Support the delivery of new trains and undertake the maintenance acceptance processes.
5. Ensure exam tasks are being completed in a timely manner, undertake basic fault rectification or repair when required.
6. Adherence to all health and safety processes and procedures.
7. Attendance at testing locations, main line station and outstations to undertake preventative and corrective maintenance as required.
8. Must be prepared to travel and overnight away from base location for short periods of time.
9. Support the Maintenance Team Leaders and Production Managers in the delivery of the production plan.
10. Record all work activities and stock consumption using the maintenance management system in accordance with maintenance processes and procedures.
11. Working shifts to meet the service requirements of customers within the TMC.

Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Licences / Competences
13. Manual Handling, COSHH, working at height, Powered plant and tools – air / 110v experience.
14. Experience of working a 24/7 shift roster in a modern rolling stock maintenance depot environment.
15. Outstanding Safety Awareness gained in an operational railway engineering environments.
16. Experience of working at stabling outstations or main line station technical support.
17. Modern fault finding and repair techniques using PC based laptops and remote train diagnostics.
18. Extensive experience of modern maintenance management systems (MMS) and associated reliability and available trend analysis.
19. Experience of performing modifications and campaigns on modern rolling stock.
Qualifications
20. Served apprenticeship with mechanical, electrical disciplines
21. Engineering based NVQ level 3
