We’re working with a leading leisure and hospitality business in Brighton to find an experienced Building Services Technician. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a small, dynamic, and passionate team responsible for maintaining one of the city’s most iconic attractions.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a varied and hands-on engineering environment. You’ll be maintaining a wide range of systems—from HVAC to AV, CCTV to vertical lift equipment—and ensuring everything runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently behind the scenes.

The Role – Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out maintenance and servicing of a wide range of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, CCTV, AV, security, access control, and fire safety equipment
* Conduct daily checks and cleaning routines for core equipment before operational hours (including working at height and within confined spaces)
* Troubleshoot faults and respond to system issues, escalating to third-party contractors when needed
* Support the Facilities & Maintenance Manager in managing supplier relationships and contract compliance
* Work closely with the Operations, Sales, and Procurement teams to ensure everything runs like clockwork
* Participate in the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedule and keep detailed records
* Take ownership of site safety, reporting issues, and ensuring compliance with all health and safety standards
What You’ll Bring:
· Solid background in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance
· Hands-on experience with HVAC systems, CCTV, access control, AV, or similar technical systems
· Able to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and resolve faults under pressure
· Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in physically active environments
· Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills
· A flexible and can-do mindset—no two days are the same here
· Passport and eligibility to travel within Europe (for essential supplier visits/training)
· Must be able to pass a fitness test, medical screening, and occupational health check
