About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Private Client Legal Secretary to join our friendly and professional team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills and a keen interest in supporting fee earners who specialise in Wills, Trusts, Probate, Powers of Attorney, and Estate Administration.
You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the department, providing high-quality secretarial and administrative support to our solicitors and clients.
The position is primarily based in our Liskeard Office however, you may be required to travel to our other offices in Looe and Callington and attend home appointments.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing, formatting, and amending legal documents and correspondence
* Managing diaries, scheduling appointments, and arranging meetings
* Handling incoming calls and emails, providing excellent client care at all times
* Opening, closing, and maintaining client files in compliance
* Audio and copy typing of documents and letters
* Liaising with clients, colleagues, and third parties
* Managing deadlines, billing, and other administrative tasks
About You
* Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within a Private Client department
* Excellent communication, organisation, and attention to detail
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management systems
* Able to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks
* Professional, discreet, and client-focused attitude
