Job Overview (Mid Wales Area)
We're looking for a Field Technician to help install and maintain 4G/LTE equipment, Wi-Fi bridges, and general networking hardware. Full product training is provided, so you don't need to have worked with our exact systems before. If you've got solid technical aptitude, basic networking knowledge, and you enjoy hands-on work, we'll get you up to speed on the specific hardware. The job involves on-site installations, wireless link alignment, maintenance tasks, and problem-solving across a variety of environments.
Responsibilities
* Install, configure, and commission 4G/LTE equipment, Wi-Fi bridges, and networking devices (training provided on all products).
* Mount antennas, align wireless point-to-point links, and verify performance.
* Carry out routine maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs with guidance when needed.
* Assist with cabling and installations using the correct tools and safe practices..
* Work closely with clients and internal teams to deliver reliable connectivity solutions.
* Keep accurate records of installations, configurations, and service work.
* Follow all health and safety requirements during field operations.
Experience
* Experience in technical, electrical, networking, or field-based work is ideal, but not essential for the right learner.
* Basic understanding of IP networking (routers, switches, addressing) is helpful.
* Comfortable using tools, climbing equipment, and working in varied on-site conditions.
* Ability to follow technical documentation and pick up new systems quickly.
* Electrical or low-voltage wiring experience is a plus but not required.
* Strong problem-solving skills, willingness to learn, and ability to work independently or with a team.
