This is a pivotal leadership role where you will help shape our financial strategy, drive productivity, and support major transformation programmes including our integration work.This is a fixed term opportunity, to 31st March 2027. About the RoleThis is a senior leadership position within the Finance Directorate, reporting to the Deputy Director of Finance. You will play a critical role in shaping the Trust's strategic financial direction and supporting long-term sustainability through robust planning, costing and productivity initiatives.You will lead on the development of the Trust's Medium-Term Financial Plan, ensuring it underpins organisational strategy and supports delivery of our objectives. Working closely with clinical and operational leaders, you will provide expert financial insight to inform decision-making, including the appraisal of complex business cases, investments and transformation programmes.A key focus of the role will be driving the productivity and value agenda, using benchmarking, costing systems and national tools such as Patient Level Costing (PLICS) and the National Cost Collection to identify opportunities, reduce variation and improve efficiency across services.You will also play a central role in supporting major organisational transformation, including the Trust Integration Programme, providing financial leadership on due diligence, business case development and system alignment.As part of the senior finance leadership team, you will contribute to the ongoing development of a high-performing, forward-looking Finance function, promoting a strong culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.
