Overview
A leading and Outstanding primary school in Merton is looking for a Year 2 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their hardworking, friendly team ASAP. The school is described as vibrant, dynamic and warm from the staff, pupils and leadership team. This Teaching Assistant role involves supporting classroom learning and attending to students' personal needs as required, including social, health, physical, hygiene, first aid and welfare matters.
Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 support to a child in Year 2.
* Assist with students with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia, and Speech and Language issues.
* Support learning in the classroom and help meet students\' personal and welfare needs.
* Use creativity and imagination to excite the pupils and support their engagement with learning.
* Collaborate with teachers and participate in ongoing professional development (CPD) provided by the school.
Qualifications / Requirements
* A graduate with a strong academic background, or an experienced Teaching Assistant.
* A passion for education and creating an inspirational environment for children to flourish.
* Creative and confident in developing fun and engaging activities.
* Great communication and interpersonal skills.
Role Details
* Full-time, term time only – Monday to Friday; no weekends.
* Salary: £105 - £120 per day.
* Location: Merton.
* ASAP Start.
