Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Domestic Assistant/Laundry Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the care home environment. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Responsibilities
* Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks in residential homes, ensuring all areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness.
* Utilise appropriate cleaning techniques and products for different surfaces and materials.
* Follow health and safety regulations while handling cleaning supplies and equipment.
* Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
* Assist with the organisation of cleaning schedules and priorities based on specific needs.
* Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishments as necessary.
* Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any concerns or requests from clients promptly.
Experience
* Previous experience in commercial cleaning or within a hospital environment is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with cleaning protocols, especially in healthcare settings, is an advantage.
* Ability to work efficiently both independently and collaboratively within a team.
* Strong organisational skills with an emphasis on attention to detail.
* Excellent time management skills to ensure tasks are completed within designated timeframes.
