Applications are invited for a Consultant Dermatologist based in Glasgow Royal Infirmary/Stobhill Hospital. This is a substantive 10 session post delivering Dermatology care in one of three sectors serving the Glasgow population. In addition to working with consultant colleagues across GGC, Dermatology care is supported by a team of non consultant grade medical staff and specialist nurses. Glasgow is part of the West of Scotland training rotation for Dermatology and affiliated with Glasgow University, providing the opportunity for both undergraduate and post graduate teaching and training. NHSGGC Dermatology provides a number of specialist services and the successful candidate can explore time within their job plan for specialist services when appointed. SPA time is included and we have an active and supportive CPD programme within our service to support core SPA. Interest in service improvement and innovation would be encouraged and supported by SPA time. There will also be a commitment to participate on the out of hours on-call rota.
Applicants should be appropriately experienced/qualified in the speciality, fully registered with the GMC and have a valid licence to practise. Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or eligibility for specialist registration (CESR) or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview.
