We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Staff Grade Doctor to support our NHS medical glaucoma service, providing clinical and surgical assistance. The role requires a compassionate professional with a deep understanding of glaucoma management and patient care.

Job responsibilities
* Diagnose, evaluate, and manage patients with existing and undiagnosed glaucoma and other ocular conditions.
* Perform diagnostic tests such as visual field assessments, OCT, Volk, CCT, and gonioscopy.
* Develop management plans for glaucoma referrals.
* Provide pre-operative and post-operative care.
* Collaborate with ophthalmologists, optometrists, and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans.
* Participate in team meetings and service development initiatives.
* Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
* Educate and support patients and their families regarding glaucoma management and treatment options.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Medical degree from a recognized university.
* Valid GMC registration with a license to practice.
* Experience in ophthalmology, especially in managing glaucoma cases.
* Excellent diagnostic and clinical skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Experience
* Deep understanding of glaucoma management and patient care.
* Experience in ophthalmology, particularly glaucoma cases.
Salary: £80,000 per year. Benefits include pension, annual leave, private healthcare, and free laser eye treatment.
