Your new role
As Site Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of highway works, ensuring technical accuracy, quality, and compliance across all site activities.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Setting out works in line with design drawings and specified tolerances
* Ensuring all health, safety, and environmental standards are upheld on site
* Supporting the preparation of method statements, risk assessments, and task briefings
* Interpreting and implementing Inspection and Test Plans, ensuring hold points are met
* Providing technical support and resolving engineering queries
* Assisting with permits, site documentation, and change management processes
* Checking calibration and accuracy of survey equipment and control points
* Communicating setting out and technical information clearly to site teams
* Preparing sketches and supporting documentation for site use
* Maintaining accurate site diaries and tracking project progress
* Assisting with procurement of materials and coordination of subcontractors
What you'll need to succeed
* Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Site Engineer within civil engineering projects
* Experience working on highways or infrastructure schemes (desirable)
* Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Valid CSCS card
* Full UK driving licence
