Design Manager - Residential ?? East Sussex ?? £450 per day A Tier 1 Main Contractor is seeking an experienced Design Manager to join a major residential scheme in East Sussex. This is a site-based role on a high-profile project, offering the opportunity to take full ownership of the design coordination process from the early stages of the project through to delivery. The Role As Design Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring design information is coordinated, compliant, and delivered in line with programme requirements. You'll be the key link between the site team, consultants, subcontractors, and client-side stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Manage and coordinate the design process on a live residential project. Compile and submit information to discharge: Building Regulations LABC Building Warranty requirements Planning conditions Gather, manage, and prepare samples for approval. Process and track RFIs to ensure timely responses. Chair and lead design coordination meetings, issue minutes, and proactively chase outstanding actions. Liaise closely with subcontractors, architects, and external design consultants. Utilise Dalux (or similar document control platforms) to manage drawing and design workflows. About You Proven experience as a Design Manager within residential construction. Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and warranty provider requirements. Confident managing design programmes in a site-based environment. Organised, commercially aware, and proactive in driving information flow. Comfortable working within Tier 1 main contractor processes and reporting structures.
