Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Press Break Operative to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating press brake machinery to bend and shape metal components with precision and efficiency. Responsibilities
* Set up and operate press brake machinery according to specifications and technical drawings
* Measure and mark materials accurately before bending
* Adjust machine settings to ensure precise bends and shapes
* Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment
* Monitor production processes to maintain quality standards
* Assist with the loading and unloading of materials using hand tools and power tools
* Maintain a clean and organised work area to ensure safety compliance
* Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines efficiently
Requirements
* Proven experience in operating press brake machines
* Mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings and specifications
* Experience using hand tools, power tools, and sewing or fabrication equipment is desirable
* Warehouse experience or background in assembly is advantageous
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
* Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
* Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks throughout shifts
* Basic understanding of health and safety regulations within a manufacturing environment

This role will be day shift initially however must be flexible for overtime extended hours to meet business needs.

Pay: £12.33 per hour
