We are looking for a Rehabilitation Specialist to help us build a healthier nation at our club. The role will deliver Nuffield Health Rehabilitation Programmes utilising the unique Nuffield Health pathway, championing the Charitable Purpose. This role involves remote and in‑person facilitation of exercise, emotional wellbeing support, healthy eating, and goal setting to aid participants’ recovery. Programmes include weekly 1-to-1s, group exercise classes (virtual and in person), promotion of goal setting and self‑directed activity.
Required skills and qualifications:
* Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification (essential)
* Previous experience as a Rehabilitation Specialist (preferred)
* Understanding of rehabilitation practices; BSc (Hons) in Sports Rehabilitation (desired)
* Excellent IT skills
* Problem-solving and diagnostic skills
* Organisational ability
* Effective decision-making skills
* Time and resource management
* Experience working with vulnerable adults
* Qualifications showing good English and number skills
Responsibilities
* Organise and run rolling 12‑week rehabilitation programmes.
* Facilitate and deliver live‑stream and in‑person group exercise classes for participants with varying abilities.
* Promote self‑directed activity using on‑demand classes and a journal to enable participants to self‑manage after the 12‑week programme.
* Re‑calibrate exercises and intensities based on participants’ progress.
* Identify deterioration and, if necessary, trigger internal escalation processes, ensuring timely reporting and accurate outcome data.
* Conduct 1‑to‑1 telephone conversations each week to coach on short‑term and long‑term goal setting, monitor progress, and provide emotional wellbeing support.
