Overview
KS2 SEN Teaching Assistant. Prospero Teaching is looking for a hardworking KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant in a primary school; based in Waltham Forest, East London. The school is a four-form primary school with a supportive leadership team and a dynamic and inclusive learning environment committed to academic excellence and student success. This role involves dedicated one-to-one support to help students thrive in and out of the classroom. The position is open to all qualified candidates with a passion for education and student support. Prior SEN/LSA classroom experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
* One-to-one work with a SEN student.
* Assess student work and contribute to lesson plans/activities.
* Help invigilate tests and support in class as needed.
Contract and Working Details
* Location: Waltham Forest, East London.
* Position: KS2 SEN Teaching Assistant.
* Type of work: one-to-one support with a SEN student; assess student work; contribute to lesson plans/activities; invigilate tests, etc.
* Start date: September 2025.
* Duration: 1 term contract with potential extension.
* End date (if applicable): End of term 1.
* Contract type: Temporary.
* Hours: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday (term time only).
* Pay: Minimum pay rate depending on pay scale.
Experience, Training and Qualifications
* Minimum 1 year experience in LSA/SEN work for KS1 or KS2 preferred but not required.
* Up-to-date safeguarding training issued in the past year.
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Eligibility and How to Apply

* Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS and be enrolled or willing to enrol onto the DBS update service.
