MCS Group is urgently seeking an Interim Accounts Assistant on behalf of a key client based in Belfast, Airport Rd area.
Immediate need - long term/ongoing temporary assignment.
Hybrid role - flexible working & early Friday finish!

The Role:
* Provide a first line analysis of data from financial sources to establish integrity, completeness and compliance with accounting policies.
* Ensure all month end deadlines are met in relation to source transactional information.
* Liaise with Finance Analysts and functional contacts to provide a service to coordinate understanding of financial data as represented in the published results.
* Continue to drive towards improved reporting by introducing efficiencies into relevant processes.
* Maintain associated SOX controls.
* Support audits as required.
* Participate in the development and continual improvement of all management information systems and preparation for future new systems.
The Person:
Candidates must:
* Have a minimum of 2 years experience in finance month-end activities.
* Strong IT/Finance System knowledge including Microsoft Office packages.
* Be able to communicate and influence effectively.
