Job Description:
Overview: First Military Recruitment is supporting our client in the search for a Technical Manager. The client is an established and expanding business within the HVAC industry, offering a range of products including Chillers, Boilers, Heaters, Air Conditioners, Air Purifiers, and Dehumidifiers. They manufacture containerised Boilers and service their hire fleet, delivering equipment nationwide.
The company is keen to offer opportunities to ex-military personnel, but all applications are welcome.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* This is a mobile role involving site visits, surveys, contingency planning, and project management of installations.
* Assist field teams in delivering HVAC projects.
* Provide technical support to engineers.
* Conduct site surveys and assist sales with technical design focusing on Chillers and Cooling systems.
* Prepare detailed quotes and RAMS documents for clients and sales.
* Lead by example to develop team ethos and ensure effective communication among management, office staff, and on-site teams.
* Coordinate between sales and technical teams for smooth project transitions.
* Support the production of RAMS documentation to meet safety and quality standards.
* Assist in maintaining technical standards and operational policies across all project phases.
* Plan and manage specific installation projects.

* Enjoys problem-solving and working under pressure.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Ex-engineer from a boiler or chiller background.
* Experience managing and dispatching engineers, especially in breakdown scenarios.
* NVQ Level 3 in a relevant M&E discipline or equivalent.
* Recognized Health and Safety training.
* Proven ability to deliver high customer satisfaction.
* Strong practical knowledge of commercial heating and cooling systems.
* Knowledge of quality assurance standards.
* Excellent people management skills.
* Full driving license.
* F Gas certification is desirable.
