Group Technical Accounting Manager - £90-95k + Bonus - C.London (Hybrid)

The Role
A key hire to provide technical accounting expertise across the Group and to support high-quality, compliant financial reporting under IFRS. This role has a strong focus on acquisition accounting and purchase price allocation alongside broader responsibilities including impairment reviews, accounting policy development and support for complex transactions.
This role offers significant exposure across the business and regular interaction with senior stakeholders, auditors and finance teams globally.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead technical accounting projects across the Group, including acquisition accounting and PPA, impairment assessments, and other complex areas such as provisions, leases and financial instruments.
* Maintain and update Group accounting policies, ensuring ongoing alignment with IFRS, and deliver training to regional finance teams as required.
* Monitor and assess the impact of new and amended accounting standards, maintaining a quarterly standards tracker and communicating implications clearly to stakeholders.
* Provide ad-hoc technical accounting support to global finance teams, including documenting key judgements and preparing technical accounting papers.
* Support the Group Financial Reporting team in improving accounting quality, consistency and best practice across regions.
* Act as a key point of contact for external auditors on technical accounting matters, including acquisition-related disclosures and impairment testing.
* Collaborate with FP&A, commercial finance and systems teams to ensure technical accounting requirements are appropriately reflected in reporting processes.
* Contribute to the wider audit process and support the preparation of technical disclosures in the consolidated financial statements.
About You
* ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
* Strong technical accounting background, including acquisition accounting, PPA and impairment testing.
* Experience owning or contributing to end-to-end financial reporting processes.
* Confident engaging with stakeholders across a complex, international group.
* Experience in complex multi-currency consolidations.
* Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail.
* Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
* Experience working in a Private Equity backed business is desirable
