Position Overview
Norfolk and Waveney Talking Therapies is currently seeking a suitably qualified senior practitioner to join our growing clinical team. We are interested in hearing from suitably qualified practitioner psychologists and/or CBT therapists, with experience of demonstrable clinical leadership.
Why Join Us
This is a particularly good time to consider joining us as there are plans for significant investment in our clinical services. Norfolk and Waveney Talking Therapies has recently been re-commissioned and performance against many national metrics is strong. As part of our commitment to quality we are working towards the goal of APPTS accreditation with the Royal College of Psychiatrists. To this and other ends, we have a formal partnership with East London Foundation Trust, including an expert reference group, to share expertise and guide senior practitioners in their roles. There are already specialisms in long term conditions and peri-natal, and we are also seeking to enhance our trauma provision in line with commissioning requirements.
Role Responsibilities
The successful candidate will take the lead for developing our older adults provision, with a specific focus on rural coastal mental health. The service is committed to meeting the needs of this often overlooked population. The post holder will work with the director of psychology and colleagues, to both integrate the existing primary care offering with other Trust services for older people and carers and to develop new innovation that enhances the pathway. Additionally, where interest and skills are aligned, there may also be a secondary role leading the development of our digital clinical offering including the integration of AI into clinical practise, or with responsibility for an agreed roving portfolio.
Research Opportunity
The service is research active and works closely the University of East Anglia to deliver research and evaluation projects to publication. Therefore, an interest in, or demonstrable experience of research is welcome and the role offers significant opportunity to become a leader in this area.
Team & Development
Here at NSFT we pride ourselves on being a welcoming, talented, friendly and supportive team who like nothing better than sharing experiences and learning from each other. In addition to ongoing training and development opportunities, we are committed to providing an environment in which you can thrive.
