We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team to work on infrastructure and/or construction projects. This position requires a proactive approach and enthusiasm to work within an evolving business.
Key Accountability
Quantity Surveying
Prepare applications to be sent to the client.
Manage commercial aspects of subcontractors from tender through to final accounts.
Price and agree variations with both client and subcontractors.
Preparation of CVRs and cash flows.
Input into monthly Contracting Department valuation figures.
Contract Administration
Administer projects within the agreed contract conditions; these will vary dependant on the client.
Ensure compliance with notification requirements and contractual timescales.
Maintain robust contractual records and communications.
Risk & Value Management
Identify commercial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Contribute to risk registers and cost risk analysis.
Support or lead value engineering initiatives.
Assist with provision of commercially sound advice within the project teams.
Stakeholder & Team Engagement
Liaise effectively with clients, contractors, consultants, and supply chain partners.
Provide commercial insight to project teams to support informed decision-making.
Mentor and support junior commercial staff where appropriate.
Experience & Qualifications
Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or related discipline.
3-5 years' experience post degree (less experience considered).
Experience administering NEC and/or JCT contracts desirable.
Proven experience managing subcontract accounts through to final account agreement.
