Job Description:
Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Family and Systemic Psychotherapist in Enfield for the CAMHS and the SAFE Team.
The Generic Team offers assessment, therapeutic interventions, and consultation for children, young people, and families with emotional, behavioural, and neurodevelopmental challenges.
The post-holder will conduct assessments and deliver evidence-based systemic psychotherapy for mental health conditions in children aged 5-18, focusing on timely, high-quality interventions.
The SAFE team (service for adolescents and families in Enfield) supports young people aged 13-18 experiencing significant stresses and difficulties, including low mood, anxiety, and trauma.
SAFE provides various interventions to promote wellbeing and collaborates with social care, schools, and community services.
Main duties of the job
CAMHS teams assess and treat mental health needs of children and adolescents from birth to 18 years, addressing complex cases requiring multidisciplinary and multi-agency involvement, including conditions like self-harm, learning disabilities, dual diagnosis, early psychosis, neglect, abuse, depression, anxiety, and violence.
Enfield CAMHS aligns with CYP-IAPT initiatives, offering evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
Children's needs are addressed within family or carer networks, which may include various risk factors and resource systems.
Systemic Psychotherapists often work independently but also in team settings, collaborating with professionals and participating in Family Therapy Clinics.
