The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a CNC operative to join our client in the Doncaster area. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working in a manufacturing/woodworking environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality work. Pay: £12.75 per hour
Working hours:
Monday to Wednesday 06:00 - 16:00
Thursday 06:00 - 15:00
Responsibilities
* Cut material on CNC machine in line with build schedule requirements.
* Report nesting errors to supervisor and technical office.
* Keep the CNC machine maintained, report any problems and keep area clean and tidy.
* Cut softwood kits in the saw area in line with the build schedule requirements.
* Keep the wood machine area clean and tidy.
* Manufacture "in house" parts in line with build schedule requirements.
* Working to work orders / panel request forms
* Produce parts to the correct specification in line with technical drawings and works orders.
* Report drawing and quality issues to supervisor and technical office.
* Ensure complete parts are stored correctly.
* Ensure complete works orders are checked and passed to stores.
* Monitor "raw" stock levels and re-order as required.
* Carry out duties in line with health and safety requirements and make supervisor aware of potential health and safety issues.
* Log on and off correct SFDC operation in line with company policy.
* Adhere to relevant ISO / QMS process.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in timber or manufacturing environment preferred, but not essential - training will be provided.
* Must have previous experience working on CNC machines.
* Good attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Successful candidates need to be flexible. Have a thorough understanding and knowledge of practices and terminology of the timber area and machinery. Have good IT skills and an understanding of industry IT programs such as Solidworks PDM, Genio, Panel Mac and Xilog.
