Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and group homes. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and safety.
Duties
As a Care Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
* Providing patient care and monitoring vital signs to ensure the well-being of clients.
* Supporting individuals with meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals tailored to their dietary needs.
* Engaging in patient observation to identify any changes in condition or behavior that may require attention.
* Maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents by performing light cleaning duties.
* Assisting clients with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
* Implementing care plans and documenting progress in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
* Providing companionship and emotional support to enhance the social well-being of clients.
* Administering medications as prescribed and ensuring compliance with care protocols.
* Offering specialized support for individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or autism.
Experience
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Previous experience in home health care, hospice care, or long-term care settings.
* Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques and vital sign assessment.
* Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is preferred.
* Experience working with individuals who have disabilities or special needs is highly valued.
* Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.21-£14.00 per hour
