SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary & Secondary
Location: Haywards Heath and surrounding areas
Contract: Full-time or part-time (flexible days)
Pay: £89.05 – £110 per day
Hours: School hours (usually 08:30 – 15:30)
We’re currently looking for SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils in primary and secondary schools across Haywards Heath and nearby areas. This is a great opportunity for someone who’s passionate about helping children with additional needs succeed in the classroom.
Whether you’ve worked in education before or are looking to start something new, we’d love to hear from you. You’ll be working closely with pupils who need extra support—either one-to-one or in small groups—and helping to create a calm, inclusive learning environment.
The Role Includes:
Supporting pupils with special educational needs in their learning and wellbeing
Helping children stay focused and confident throughout the school day
Assisting teachers with lessons and classroom routines
Creating a positive and supportive atmosphere for learning
Working flexibly across different schools and age groups
What We’re Looking For:
Experience working with children or young people (in schools, care, youth work, etc.)
A calm, patient, and supportive approach
Confidence to adapt to different school settings
A genuine interest in helping children reach their potential
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
