Are you ready to take the next step in your accounting career? Our client, a thriving business with big ambitions across the UK and Europe, is seeking a proactive and capable Accounts Administrator to join their friendly team in Nottingham.
You will play a vital part in ensuring the accurate recording and management of company accounts, payments, and financial data. This is a great opportunity for someone with some accounts experience who’s looking to grow their skills in a collaborative environment. Our client can offer opportunities for study support.
Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm
Up to £26,000 depending on experience
1 day working from home a week
Free on-site parking
Accounts Assistant - The Role:
* Sales and purchase ledger input, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
* Monthly management accounts and supporting budget preparation and monitoring.
* Carrying out regular bank account reconciliations, especially around month-end and payment runs.
* Maintaining and reconciling the client account, including handling manual and automated payments.
* Preparing and submitting VAT returns and managing all expense claims.
* Processing refunds, indemnity claims, and managing goodwill payments, ensuring accurate records and reporting.
* Assisting with year-end accounts and working closely with external accountants on compliance and best practice.
Accounts Assistant - The Candidate:
* Some experience in a similar accounts/finance role.
* Strong communication skills and confidence liaising with customers, suppliers, and external partners.
* Excel skills
* Familiarity with Sage accounting and payroll systems preferred.
* Commitment to upholding security and confidentiality in all financial activities.
* Desire for ongoing personal and professional development in both business processes and accounting practices.
