Lead Electrical QA/QC Engineer Banbridge Monday - Friday (Day Shift only) £45,000 - £50,000 An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a well-established and growing engineering manufacturer as a Lead Electrical QA/QC Engineer. This is a key role within the business, ensuring all electrical systems and assemblies are delivered to the highest standards within a modern, fast-paced production environment. The Role You will take ownership of electrical quality assurance and quality control activities, ensuring all installations and assemblies meet required standards with a strong focus on Right First Time (RFT) delivery. This is a hands-on role, ideal for a qualified electrician with QA/QC experience who enjoys being close to the manufacturing process and working directly with production teams. Key Responsibilities Quality Control (QC) Carry out detailed inspections of electrical installations, wiring, containment and assemblies Ensure compliance at each stage to achieve Right First Time delivery Conduct electrical testing and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) Raise, track and close non-conformances, ensuring corrective actions are implemented Support first-off inspections and provide real-time feedback to production Quality Assurance (QA) Develop and maintain QA procedures, inspection test plans (ITPs) and checklists Ensure all work complies with internal quality systems and industry standards Maintain accurate documentation, test reports and certification records Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives Carry out supplier quality checks on incoming electrical components Leadership & Coordination Lead and mentor the electrical QC team Work closely with production, design, and project teams to resolve issues early Act as a key contact for clients, auditors and third-party inspectors Provide technical guidance to ensure installations meet required specifications Testing & Pre-Commissioning Support system testing and validation prior to delivery Complete pre-commissioning checks and documentation Requirements Time-served Electrician (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent) Inspection & Testing qualification (2391 or equivalent) Experience in QA/QC within manufacturing, MEP or industrial environments Strong knowledge of electrical standards and testing procedures Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics Key Skills Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and compliance Hands-on, practical approach within a production environment Leadership and team development capability Strong communication and reporting skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment What's on Offer £45,000 - £50,000 salary Monday to Friday working pattern with early finish on Fridays Opportunity to play a key role in driving quality standards Modern manufacturing environment Long-term career development opportunities This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to take ownership of electrical quality, drive continuous improvement, and remain closely involved in the manufacturing process.
