Crohn's and Colitis UK are on the lookout for a new HR Operations Manager!
Reporting to the Head of People, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of a proactive and supportive HR service, playing an integral role in shaping and implementing improvements aligned with service goals. Your duties will include ensuring the smooth operation of HR processes, policies, and procedures.
The role
Location: Hybrid, with one day per week at the Hatfield office, plus attendance at monthly directorate meetings and four All Staff Together Days annually.
Hours: 35 hours (FTE)
Contract: Permanent

About you
We seek a proactive, highly organized individual with excellent communication skills capable of building relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Ensuring staff are trained, supported, and motivated to deliver high-quality service is essential.
This role is suited for an experienced HR Manager who:
* Possesses strong knowledge of HR processes, policies, procedures, employment laws, and best practices.
* Can develop fair and consistent HR policies, conduct audits for compliance, and maintain accurate records.
* Is capable of leading operational planning and budgeting.
* Has a forward-thinking and inspirational vision for HR in a charitable organization.
* Believes in developing working practices and culture for improvement.
* Has a strong commitment to workplace access, with excellent knowledge of EDI issues and the ability to implement related policies.
* Can balance individual compassion with organizational operational needs.
* Has experience supporting and developing managers through change.

Based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, with accessible transport links. The role offers flexible working, requiring attendance once a week at the Hatfield office, along with mandatory attendance at quarterly 'All Staff Together' days, held in Hatfield or London.
