Job overview An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Senior Mental Health Practitioner with a passion for working with children and young people with mental health difficulties. Sandwell CAMHS is a diverse, dynamic and forward-thinking multi disciplinary team. We are looking for a clinician with professional registration, happy to take applicants from nurses and AHPs who is enthusiastic and can demonstrate sound clinical and leadership skills. We would require you to have the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team, with a compassionate approach to service users. You would work as a Senior Specialist Clinician in Services for children and young people in the Emotional and Behavioural constellation but would also be expected to work across the other constellations based on service need. These are STEPP (Suicidality and Trauma), Neuro Developmental and Learning Disability. You will be expected to supervise junior staff and support the Team Leads and Service Manager with the management of the service. Working for our organisation Our CAMHS Service is a multi-disciplinary team of psychologists, specialist nurses, systemic, child and art psychotherapists, occupational therapists, music therapists and psychiatrists, who are passionate in their aim to work with children, young people and their families in developing creative solutions to improve their mental health difficulties. The BCHFT CAMHS Service currently operates across 4 geographical areas (Sandwell, Wolverhampton, Dudley and Walsall) with contracts in each area.
