Information Governance Assurance Officer (NHS)
Contract: 3-months assignment with probability to extend
Rate: £25 per hour (Inside IR35)
Location: Norwich / Norfolk (occasional travel across Trust sites required)

Working closely with the Information Governance Assurance Manager, you will help coordinate and deliver core IG activities across the Trust, including the Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT), CQC assurance, Subject Access Requests (SARs) and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
This role plays a key part in promoting a risk-based information governance culture, providing expert advice and guidance to staff across clinical, corporate and digital teams, and ensuring the Trust continues to meet statutory and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Support delivery and assurance of the Trust’s Information Governance work programme and DSPT.
* Complete and review Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
* Manage and respond to Subject Access Requests for staff and patients.
* Collate and analyse evidence for DSPT, CQC and other internal and external assurance reviews.
* Support IG audits, spot checks and confidentiality reviews.
* Assist with investigation and reporting of Information Governance incidents and data breaches, including Datix reporting.
* Produce clear and accurate Information Governance assurance, compliance and risk reports for governance forums.
* Develop and support Information Governance training and awareness activities across the Trust.
* Work collaboratively with Digital Health teams, Divisional Governance Managers and senior stakeholders.
* Deputise for the Information Governance Assurance Manager at relevant meetings when required.
What We’re Looking For
* Experience working within Information Governance in a healthcare or regulated environment.
* Strong understanding of DSPT, data protection and Information Governance assurance principles.
* Practical experience with DPIAs, SARs and Information Governance risk management.
* Ability to analyse, interpret and present Information Governance data, risks and trends clearly.
* Confident communicator, able to engage with clinical, corporate and digital teams.
* Organised, detail-focused and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
