We are currently looking for an Assembler to join us at Doncaster. If you want to make a difference and work for a purpose-led company, please read on.
Reporting to the Assembly Team Leader, the Assembler will be responsible for assembling and packing plastic plumbing parts into finished products in line with BSI and ISO standards, conducting routine quality checks and record keeping whilst working in a safe and effective manner.
The role
* Ensure all plastic plumbing fittings are assembled in accordance with all relevant standards
* Ensure performance levels are understood, achieved and maintained
* Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and procedures, and actively contribute towards a positive health and safety culture
* Input production data into the Barco monitoring system whilst on shift
* Complete product start-up sheet before commencing assembly activity
* Check for correct packaging via QA scan system
* Segregate failed products into rework and rejects
* Undertake activities in other departments as directed by the Assembly Team Leader
The profile
The successful candidate will possess previous experience of working in a fast-paced assembly or production environment in which production rates and volumes must be achieved. An effective communicator with the ability to operate within a team as well as autonomously, the postholder will have experience of following workplace processes and procedures, performing basic administrative duties and data input.
