Job Purpose
Provides technically complex engineering solutions in particularly challenging project environments in accordance with TechnipFMC standards, procedures and processes, schedules and budget, with a continuous concern for quality, targets, and customer satisfaction.
Job Description
1. Independently perform structural design and analysis and supervise structural engineers performing design and analysis.
2. Create, review and approve technical engineering documents.
3. Manage project design reviews and constructability reviews.
4. Provide sound engineering advice on subsea structural analysis and design to ensure efficient and cost-effective fabrication, handling and subsea installation.
5. Ensure technical compliance and quality as well as on‐time‐delivery of all responsible deliverables.
6. Ability to mentor and manage a team of engineers & designers.
7. Attend meetings with project teams and interface with clients and be able to provide engineering recommendations and solutions.
8. Drives innovative solutions to optimize subsea structures and improve efficiency.
9. Demonstrated experience in supporting engineering for subsea projects constrained by safety, quality, delivery, and cost requirements.
10. Travel to and attend site as required to guide, inspect or oversee fabrication of structural items.
You are meant for this job if:
11. BS degree in Engineering preferred or equivalent with 6 to 8 years of experience in the field.
12. Sound understanding of Engineering practices, design methods & calculations.
13. Experience in mentoring, leading a team of engineers & delivering projects.
14. Experience in structural steel design preferably in Offshore and Subsea field (Accordance with applicable industry code – DNV / ASME / API, etc.) and fatigue analysis.
15. Experience in reviewing engineering designs, documents, layouts, calculations and interpreting FEA/ structural analysis results.
16. Strong knowledge of engineering discipline and physical modeling techniques (solid mechanics, strength of material, fluid dynamics) is required. Strong technical basis in engineering
17. Experience in SACS / other beam element software.
18. Knowledge in Finite element experience on ANSYS / Abaqus software.
19. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
20. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English with ability to effectively transfer subject matter expertise.
