Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN/SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs are required in Suffolk. Multiple positions are available, and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support. We aim to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN (Special Education Needs)/SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health).
We are increasingly supporting children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties) and SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties). We seek SEN/SEND tutors with a genuine passion for transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners in Suffolk. At Targeted Provision, our mission is to raise the standard of educational support offered to vulnerable young people in the UK.
Our team supports the child holistically, and you will be supported throughout every placement by our SEN/SEND Support Specialists. This role is ideal for qualified SEN/SEND teachers eager to work via 1:1 tutoring with children and young people with diverse learning needs, in a creative, flexible, trauma-informed manner, to enhance engagement and improve their educational outlook.

SEN/SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilities:
1. Planning engaging sessions tailored to the young person's needs
2. Delivering holistic sessions that support educational and social-emotional progress
3. Completing lesson reports and providing feedback on progress
4. Engaging with us as a Worker for short-term engagements as needed
5. Working through a contract for service and paid via PAYE
6. No set amount of work or expenses coverage provided
7. Insurance covers your work; this is not a self-employed position

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS/QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other needs
* Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
* Enhanced DBS (assistance available if needed)
* Two professional references
* Right to work in the UK
