THE ROLE
We’re looking for a passionate and proactive Assistant Project Officer to join the Homeless Prevention team at The Spires, a 26-bed move-on scheme supporting individuals who have experienced or are at risk of rough sleeping.
* Provide person-centred support that empowers residents to live independently
* Support tenant wellbeing and engagement with local services
* Deliver activities promoting inclusion, wellbeing and life skills
* Maintain accurate case notes and electronic records
* Monitor rent payments and provide office cover, handling reception and phone enquiries
* Carry out health and safety checks across the building and apartments
* Identify and report safeguarding concerns in line with procedures
THE CANDIDATE
We are looking for someone with experience working with vulnerable individuals, ideally within housing or homelessness services.
* Experience supporting people who have experienced homelessness or multiple disadvantage
* Good verbal and written communication skills with a flexible approach
* Knowledge of safeguarding adults and relevant procedures
* Comfortable delivering group activities or community events
* Competent using IT systems including Microsoft Office for record keeping and admin
THE CONTRACT
Full Time, 35 Hours per week.
Shifts include 8am–4pm and 12pm–8pm with occasional Saturdays (9am–5pm).
3 Month Temporary Contract – Temp to Perm opportunity.
The pay for the role is £16.13 per hour (LTD) or £13.84 per hour PAYE, inclusive of holiday.
