CONTRACT MANAGER
COMPANY OVERVIEW
My client is one of the largest specialised home adaptation companies in the UK. They help the elderly and less able to maintain independent living by offering a comprehensive range of adaptations in the home.
JOB PURPOSE
Due to ongoing growth and new work streams, we re seeking an experienced Contract Manager. You ll work independently and within the contracts team, handling tenders, pricing from Schedules of Rates (SORs), and producing specifications. You'll also create CAD Designs and (CAD experience is a plus, but training can be provided) collaborate with Supervisors and admin staff is essential to ensure client needs are met.
JOB SPECIFICATION
* Manage site-based Health & Safety and obtain necessary permissions (e.g., Planning, Building Control, build-over agreements).
* Review project preliminaries and work closely with site Supervisors.
* Interpret specifications and assess how existing structures impact design.
* Produce basic CAD designs (training available if needed).
* Price and deliver tenders using Schedules of Rates (NHF SOR experience essential).
* Handle valuations and final accounts with clients and subcontractors.
* Oversee installations of wet rooms, accessible kitchens, and full home adaptations from start to finish.
* Lead site teams with support from Supervisors.
* Ensure commercial success and resolve disputes with clients/subcontractors.
* Approve subcontractor payments and manage financial controls.
* Communicate effectively with clients, Occupational Therapists, and end users.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
* Experience as a Contracts Manager overseeing Bathroom & Kitchens installations
* Experience of working on standard bathroom and kitchen replacements
* Disrepair works
* Damp and mould
* Able to create CAD Designs
SALARY/BENEFITS
* Salary: GBP52,000-GBP55,000 per annum (dependant on experience)
