Parkhead Primary School is situated within the village of West Calder and serves the local area. The nursery setting consists of am, pm and full day learners aged between three and five years. The ELC provides spacious learning areas and there is a large outdoor and garden area. The setting is open 50 weeks per year and staff work flexibly on a Rota across the opening hours.
Parkhead ELC are seeking to appoint a highly motivated pupil support worker to join our Nursery team working Monday – Thursday 4-6pm. The successful candidate will work as part of a forward-thinking team, bringing a sound knowledge of child development and will respond to the individual needs of each child, providing high quality interactions and learning and teaching experiences
This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC. SSSC stipulate you must submit your application within three months of your start date.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
