About The Role
We are seeking a Security Patrol Officer to join our Estates and Campus Services Division at the University of Leicester. This is a front-line role within a diverse and award-winning team, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our students, staff and visitors. You will deliver a visible and reassuring presence across campus through mobile and foot patrols, respond to incidents as needed, and support Control Room operations. The post is full-time, permanent, and operates on a 24/7 shift pattern, including public holidays and university closure days.
The role offers much more than routine security duties; you will be actively involved in events, initiatives, and supporting the vibrant university community. About You
You will bring a positive, can-do attitude, a strong sense of responsibility, and a commitment to excellent customer service. A full manual UK driving licence is essential, as is the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Your interpersonal skills and understanding of diversity and equality issues will be key to engaging with our inclusive university community.
