Job Details:
Hourly Rate: £11.80p - Due to rise after 12 weeks successful temp to perm duration.
Working Hours: 6am - 2pm Weeks 1 & 2
2pm - 10pm Weeks 3 & 4 / Rotational pattern - Shifts will be confirmed by the client.

Requirements:
Must have experience working in a production environment, preferably with machinery, machine minding, manufacturing processes, and process flow.
Main Purpose of the Role:
Your primary responsibilities include operating the Conversion machine confidently within a print environment, adhering to health & safety regulations, and maintaining quality standards. Ensuring products meet customer specifications and pass quality assurance tests to achieve KPIs is essential. Punctuality, attendance, and professionalism are expected at all times.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Operate Conversion machines ensuring 'right first time' production.
* Train to operate all departmental machines.
* Prioritize and organize slitting jobs based on the production schedule.
* Verify works tickets before starting Conversion.
* Complete and sign documentation for each job.
* Use the Radius system effectively.
* Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives.
* Report faults promptly.
* Follow health, safety, environmental, and quality standards (BRC & ISO).
* Manage workloads to meet targets and customer requirements.
* Ensure quality standards are met.
* Assist with equipment maintenance and production operations.
* Review orders and plans in advance for smooth operations.
* Notify managers of issues or non-conformities.
* Provide overtime as needed.
* Follow cleaning and documentation procedures.
* Learn basic machine controls.
* Handle and pack bags correctly.
* Prepare reels and tape joins.
* Check job specifications against finished products.
* Conduct quality checks and complete sheets.
* Use Radius for recording and labeling.
* Operate machines with minimal supervision.
* Set up jobs from start to finish.
Skills, Capabilities, and Attributes:
* Experience in production roles preferred.
* Knowledge of quality, health & safety, and environmental standards.
* Lean manufacturing experience (e.g., 5S) is a plus.
* Reliable, motivated, and quality-focused.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under deadlines.
* Team player with independent working skills.
* Willingness to learn and adapt.
* Attention to detail and numeracy skills.
* Personal accountability and a 'right first time' mindset.
Physical Requirements: A reasonable level of fitness is necessary due to the physical nature of the role (lifting, bending, etc.).
